Nkwanta North, DCE Hon. Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe was unanimously confirmed as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkwanta North today, receiving 100% of the votes from assembly members. The confirmation was a resounding victory, with all 22 members present voting in favor.
Speaking to XYZ news and Ibrahim Nsor In his first address following the confirmation, Hon. Dordoe pledged to work collaboratively with the Member of Parliament, Hon. John Oti Bless, and all assembly members to foster unity and drive development in the district. He acknowledged the longstanding water crisis facing Nkwanta North and vowed to prioritize its resolution.
“I want to leave a legacy by tackling the water challenges, electricity problems, and ensuring access to potable water for all communities,” stated Hon. Dordoe. He specifically mentioned the SIBI community, which has been grappling with water scarcity for over two decades, promising to address the issue through government or non-governmental organization partnerships.
The newly elected Presiding Member, Alhassan Abubakari, also highlighted the challenges facing Nkwanta North, indicating a shared commitment to addressing these issues.
