The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Oforikrom, Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed, is set to engage with residents of Kentinkrono and Ayigya Zongo Communities tomorrow, November 23, 2025, as part of his ongoing community engagement sessions.
This initiative aims to foster direct interaction between the MCE and the communities, providing opportunities for feedback, discussions on developmental issues, and expressions of appreciation for the people’s support .
The community engagement sessions are part of Hon. Ahmed’s efforts to remain connected with the people of Oforikrom and work collaboratively on addressing community needs and advancing local development.
The Oforikrom Municipal Assembly serves a diverse population with varied needs, and this tour is seen as a platform for identifying priority areas for intervention and strengthening community relations.
Hon. Ahmed has been actively engaging with various communities, listening to their concerns, suggestions, and aspirations.
These community engagements provide an invaluable opportunity for residents to voice their needs and priorities directly to Municipal leadership. The MCE has also been working on key development priorities, including health infrastructure, educational infrastructure, water supply, environmental sanitation, school furniture, administration support, monitoring and evaluation, and completion of legacy projects .
The community engagement sessions are expected to cover various topics, including the challenges facing the municipality, such as overcrowding in schools, poor road networks, inadequate health facilities, poor sanitation, insecurity, flooding, poor state of drains, bridges and culverts, high rate of youth unemployment, among others .
Residents of Kentinkrono and Ayigya Zongo Communities are encouraged to participate in the engagement sessions, scheduled to take place tomorrow, November 23, 2025. The exact venue and time will be communicated by the municipal assembly.
