Oti Regional Women’s Organizer Donates Bicycles to Bitaba Students

The Oti Regional Women’s Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress,Madam Paulina Magyam, in collaboration with the women’s wing, has donated over 25 bicycles to students from the Bitaba community.

This gesture aims to promote educational development and support to villages in the Nkwanta North constituency.

The students, who walk about 10km to school, received the bicycles as a motivation to improve their education, particularly for girls.

Madam Magyam explained to a broadcast journalist, Ibrahim Nsor, that the students’ long walks to school are a significant challenge.

She also lamented the high rate of teenage pregnancy in the community and Nkwanta North, pledging to work towards reducing this issue.

Madam Magyam emphasized that improving the community’s educational system is crucial for progress.

Gbande Sarah, the Constituency Woman Organizer, praised the women’s wing of Oti for their efforts in improving education in the community. She highlighted their commitment to implementing initiatives that support educational development.

Mr. Abel, the Headmaster of Bitaba R/C Primary School, expressed his gratitude to the NDC and Madam Paulina Magyam for their enthusiasm in improving the educational system in the villages.

He also mentioned some challenges the school faces, including the need for a school feeding program to encourage students to stay in school.

Some pupils also expressed their appreciation to Madam Magyam for her support and encouragement, urging her to continue working to improve education in their community.
