Mr. Precious Agbenya, a political activist and analyst has urged all well meaning Ghanaians to embrace peaceful and violence Free elections in December,7,2024.

According to him peaceful elections is a collective responsibility of all Ghanaians including the international diplomats in the country.
Expressing his sentiment about political tensions in every electioneering period, he is of the view that, it’s long overdue for electorates to reject violence and embrace peaceful elections to enhance democracy in the body politics towards the continuity of development.
According to him, the recent research suggests that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is likely to win the 2024 elections in Ghana. However, there are concerns that the ruling New Patriotic Party New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the incumbent president may resort to violence to overturn the results.
He stressed that, It is important for Ghanaians to protect democracy through free, fair and violence Free atmosphere
He alleged that,there are reports indicate that the NPP is aware of the potential outcome, hence may use violence to undermine the democratic process.
He reiterated that, the president’s preference to hand over power only to Vice President Bawumia is the sole motivation behind these actions of the NPP and their sympathizers bragging of breaking the 8 mantra.
He disclosed that, the NDC, led by John Dramani Mahama, has shown commitment to a peaceful electoral process, however, citizens or electorates must remain vigilant and be aware of the potential attempts to manipulate the elections, as it is crucial for eligible voters to participate in their numbers to ensure that their voices are heard.
He expressed the view of engaging with the international community towards the threats to Ghana’s democracy.
According to him, the international community involvement our electoral process could strengthen the credibility and transparency of the electoral process.
Mr. Agbenya urged Ghanaians to reject violence and safeguard the integrity of the 2024 general elections, as the NDC demonstrate commitment to a peaceful electoral process led by the leader of the party John Dramani Mahama demonstrates Ghana’s dedication to democracy and stability towards productivity and sustainable development.
