Chief Executive Officer of PIWAK Natural Health and Clinic, manufacturers of 3P Garlic Mixture, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, has made a cash donation of Gh¢13,000 to support the gospel musician, Edward Akwasi Boateng.
Speaking to the media after the donation,the philanthropist indicated that,he came to the rescue of Mr Edward Akwasi Boateng simply because he wanted the gospel musician to come back to life after watching a video from bloggers which captured Edward Akwasi Boateng selling Pen drive to feed himself and the family.
According to him,after watching the video he together with management of Angel FM made necessary arrangements brought him to Accra and then a donation was made just to rekindle his dying spirit.
Dr Nelson said,”the down fall of a man is never the end of his life” hence his decision to give all the necessary assistance to the gospel musician.
Touched by one of the songs of Mr Edward Akwasi Boateng,Dr Nelson said anything can happen in life so far as we remain human beings on earth so it is about time we help others when they are in difficult times.
Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti not long ago donated relief items worth GH¢40,000.00 to the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage in the Volta Region.
On Saturday, 21st October, 2023, he collaborated with TV XYZ Broadcasting LTD to present relief packages to affected communities in the South Tongu District.
The presentation took place at a short ceremony held in Kundokpo, a suburb of Sogakope within the Agorkpo Electoral Area of the South Tongu District.
The communities that received relief items included Agbeve, Tsatsukope, Adzake, Amuto, Amutinu, Torve, Kuve, and Akplorti in the Agbeve Electoral Area, as well as Zowoenu, Afedome, and Godzekpota in the Agave Afedome/Asidowui Electoral Area, Kundokpo and Agorkpoenu in the Agorkpo Electoral Area, and Agorme in Dzebetato Electoral Area.
On Monday, 23rd October, 2023 too , Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti, the Director of Piwak Natural Health and Clinic, once again joined Angel TV to present another set of relief packages to the Akosombo Dam spillage victims in Mepe.
These items were received by the North Tongu Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Chiefs of the Mepe Traditional Council at Mepe R/C Primary School premises at a short ceremony.
BACKGROUND…
The host of the morning show on Angel TV and Angel 102.9 FM, Accra, Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa-Mensah, led his audience and viewers to raise Gh¢60,000 to support popular gospel musician, Edward Akwasi Boateng.
The fundraiser which was live on the Friday, March 1, 2024, edition of the Angel Morning Show and broadcast from the Celebrity Studio, Kwashieman, Accra was supported by the General Overseer of Parliament Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako Atta.
The preacher donated Gh¢5,000 to help the musician revive his career which had taken a nose-dive following some challenging moments he had encountered some years ago where the CEO of PIWAK Natural Health, manufacturers of 3P Garlic Mixture, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, also made a cash donation of Gh¢13,000.
Some staff and managers of the media organisation joined and made pledges to support the musician.
By 10:am when the programme came to an end, a sum of Gh¢60,000 had been realised in honour of the musician, whose songs transformed millions of Ghanaian Christians both spiritually and physically.
Presenting the cash to the singer on the show, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah commended his viewers and audiences for the positive response his call had generated.
Receiving the donation, Edward Akwasi Boateng, awed by the show of love from the public promised to invest the money into a profitable business possibly, in the transport sector.
