A security officer who stabbed his employer to death in Kumasi this week has been arrested by Ghana police.

The prime suspect in Abigail Ahenkan’s murder case, whose legal name is Alister John, is currently in police custody after attempting to flee after the heinous crime committed against his employee.

John reportedly murdered his employer in cold blood and made away with her car and money two weeks after employing him has been arrested.

According to reports circulating on social media, John has always been engaged in criminal acts.

Just two months ago, he allegedly stole over GH¢7,000 and four mobile phones from his former employer in East Legon, Accra.

After this incident, he remained under the radar until he recently reappeared in the news, now accused of the murder of his most recent employer, who hired him just two weeks ago.

Social media users were shocked by the news.

“Rest in Peace Beautiful! It’s a wicked world we live in! Please let’s avoid the lukewarm lives we live. Let’s be all sold out for Christ. As such, our spirits will be quick to discern. Love thy God with all your heart, mind, and soul. The enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy! We can’t give him no space! We must put on the whole armour of God!

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled,” an Instagram user said.

The police service is yet to issue a statement on the arrest.

Stay tuned for more update.
