Hon.Kwabena Nsenkyire, Ashanti Region Minister’s respresentative ,who chaired the confirmation of the Sekyere Kumawu DCE as president’s nominee yesterday has declared the election as invalid.
According to him,a new date be set for the confirmation because the electoral commission didn’t prepare well for the exercise.
He revealed that the electoral commission who was responsible in conducting the election didn’t print enough ballots to enable them run the election on the confirmation of the DCE nominee on the same day upon realising that the four of the appointees who voted had their appointment revoked and had been replaced.
Indicating that a new date would be set to run the election again.
Mr Kwabena Nsenkyire, who represented the Regional Minister at the meeting blamed the Coordinating Director for bringing it to his attention late and therefore apologised and promised to notify the Regional Minister to draw the attention of the EC on the mishaps.
