Some police personnel are believed to die through curses after the revocation of the lockdown directive by President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.

The Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of NPP, Mr Richard Asante, who made this comment, regretted the nature of beatings by the security agencies especially the police in the enforcement of the lockdown which aims at preventing the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Commenting on the brutalities, when addressing a section of the media,  Mr Asante said the  police have taken the laws into their hands by subjecting innocent persons to beatings .

Mr Asante disclosed that some of the victims are not human therefore the police will bear it in mind that they will face the consequences of any act wrongfully taken against innocent  persons.

Accordingly to him, some people will never forgive instead they will invoke the spirits of lesser Gods to curse them for any atrocities melted out to them.

He expressed worry at the brutalities melted out to the District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre , Hon Christian Adu Poku and Net 2  Television journalist on Maase Atimatim road when the DCE was distributing Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to the security personnel on Tuesday.

‘The police used car fan belts to whip the DCE and gave punches to him as well as the journalist” Mr Asante said.

Mr Asante therefore called on the Ashanti Regional Minister, and the Regional Police Commander to investigate into the incident and discipline the two policemen for such brutalities.
