TCDA Hosts Parliamentary Select Committee: Strengthening Partnerships for Agricultural Development

The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) recently played host to members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs at its office in Accra. The visit marked a significant step in fostering collaboration and support for the development of Ghana’s tree crops sector.

During the visit, the Chief Executive Officer of TCDA, Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, presented the Authority’s strategic vision, mandate, and operations to the Committee. The discussion centered on key challenges facing the sector and potential areas of support that the Committee could offer to ensure TCDA’s continued progress.

 

The Parliamentary Select Committee pledged their full support to TCDA, committing to initiatives such as capacity-building workshops and other collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening the Authority and empowering all value chain actors across the tree crops sector.

The visit underscores the importance of partnerships in driving agricultural development in Ghana. Through collaborative efforts, TCDA and the Parliamentary Select Committee aim to build a stronger, more resilient agricultural future for the country.
