The Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Governs Kwame Agbodza, has described phase one of the Tepa – Mampong – Goaso road project executed by Kofi Job Constructions Limited as the fastest project delivered under the government’s Big Push infrastructure program.

According to the Minister, the company has not only delivered on time but has also delivered quality work.

He made the remarks when he, together with President John Dramani Mahama, inspected the project on Friday.

“Your Excellency, I want to take the opportunity to actually congratulate Kofi Job Constructions, this is one of the fastest Big Push projects delivered,” he stated.

“Just 36 percent of the time spent and the firm has done over 88 percent of the work at the highest possible quality.”

Hon. Agbodza noted that under his leadership, he has consistently spoken against contractors who deliver shoddy works, and therefore it was appropriate to acknowledge quality work when he sees it.

The Tepa – Mampong – Goaso road is a critical road project linking the Ahafo and Ashanti Regions.

Kofi Job Constructions after nine months on the project has completed the first pahse of the 22 kilometres road which was supposed to be completed in 24 months

The road, when completed, is expected to boost economic activities, facilitate the movement of goods and people, particularly cocoa and foodstuffs, and reduce travel time for commuters.

The project forms part of the Big Push Agenda, a major infrastructure drive by the Mahama administration aimed at accelerating road development across the country.
