The Chief Executive Officer of Unity Group of companies, Prof. Dr. Kwame Kyei has urged youths in the country to contribute in making the 2024 elections violence-free.

He admonished the youth to resist the temptation of some politicians to use them to cause violence and disrupt the conduct of the elections.

The ocaasion was the 16th edition of his annual thanksgiving service held at
Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese on Friday, January 12, 2024.

He again urged the youth to shun all vices that would lead to moral decadence in the society.

He also advised the youth to lead the country’s democratic process instead of falling prey to the gimmicks of some of the politicians who are not ready to allow due processes to prevail.

“To achieve violence free elections, we are calling on our fellow youths that they must re-think their perceptions.

“Shun anti-social and negative behaviours capable of tarnishing your image as future leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

Dr. Kwame Kyei also appealed to the government to ensure that the electoral process is seamless, so as to leave a good legacy of strengthening the country’s democracy.

The Group CEO suggested that the government should commence mass engagement with the youth to sensitise them on the need for peaceful conduct before, during and after the elections.

He noted that the role of the youth are critical in any elections. Hence, their active involvement and participation should be given the needed priority
to ensure free and fair elections.

He, however, noted that we as a people have only one Ghana and our peace and harmony must be cherished because all neighboring Countries do not speak our official language and common communication would be a problem.
