Incumbent Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser, Nana Ama Ampomah has stated that despite the hard work and commitment to the NPP party for two terms as leader, her third time victory would still come from God Almighty.
Speaking to newsmen moments after completing her vetting process, the calm and sober Regional executive noted that the process was smooth.
Madam Ampomah said her vetting was like an interaction with the committee and at a point felt she was home.
She commended the regional elections committee for overseeing a smooth process and ensuring less tension in the arena.
“I am done with the vetting process and I am looking forward to day of elections with full confidence in Jehovah that the delegates of our party across Ashanti will endorse my candidature for the third time and grant me an opportunity to work so that together we can retain power for the third record time as government”, Madam Ampomah stated.
DESIRE:
Madam Ampomah expressed desire to see the NPP create more opportunities for its members and the public especially women as well as the youth of the country to get employment.
This, she stated has been her prayer and work mentality, adding that in her campaign across the region that has been her message.
The Women’s leader said the NPP possesses the potential to bring more development initiatives just like the one district one factory and many others to reduce the unemployment deficit.
“With elections 2024 in sight I am seeking to lead the Women’s wing so that together we could work to retain the NPP in power and create opportunities for our people to get jobs and to become successful with what they do”, Madam Ampomah stressed.
THIRD TERM:
Madam Ampomah, who is popularly known as “Pretty Giant”, explained that her third term bid was to help the NPP maintain power they won in 2016 and 2020.
She said the longer the NPP stays in power the better for Ghanaians.
“It is clear that any viable and good social initiatives came through the NPP and it is with this knowledge that I wish that we work hard for Ghanaians to retain us in power so we can develop the country to unprecedented levels”, Madam Ampomah noted.
She promised to resource polling station and constituency women organisers as well as all identifiable groups under the wing so that they could play their roles well and efficiently.
