An aspiring Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Henry Opoku Ware(OWASS) has urged delegates in his constituency to base their vote on the competence of the candidate and not on finances.
According to him ,he is vying for the position because Hon Joseph Osei Wusu,the incumbent MP, has decided not to contest for the seat again.
He is therefore urging the people of the constituency to look at the good work he has done in the constituency and support him.
He further added that ,there will definitely be dishonest candidates who would decide to pay delegates for votes but in his opinion it is a dishonesty to the people and to the constituency as a whole.
Mr. Henry Opoku Aware reinstated that if the people of the constituency wants a good governance and accountability, they should choose a leader who is ready to serve and have served the constituency before.
He further revealed that he has been actively supporting the party since 1992 and hence understands the party enough to represent them in parliament.
