The Chief of Bonwire in Ashanti Region, Nana Bobie Ansah II, has vowed to re-package kente and kente weaving to add value to it to make it reach a maximum height.

According to the Cheif what can be described as precious custodian left behind for the people of Ashanti by our forefathers is Kente clothing legacies.
Commissioning a multi million kente musoleum at Bonwire, Nana Bobie believed the government should set up manufacturing company to produce the yarns as well as stiching materials use in making the weaving locally, which lamenting on that would go a long way to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the country.
He said such is the reason why his outfit as traditional leader is embarking on such projects, hence the commissioning of the musoleum.
Nana Bobie observed that, kente clothing fetch a lot of money, bring in foreign exchange including tourism.
He expressed shock on why such a laudable package left somehow uncorcern by successive governments to add value to Kente weaving in the country.
He reasoned that, the yarns the Nation is importing from China and Indonesia into the country for the weaving use can be produce here in Ghana.
This, he announced that ’till the last kente cloth will be scare Bonwire traditional home will continue to survive with their traditional heritage in the world’s.
