If you care to know why Hon.Samuel Addai Agyekum,DCE for Sekyere Kumawu District in the Ashanti region is loved by his people and traditional rulers in his area just spend some minute to read this article.
This DCE is loved and was endorsed by his people and chiefs in the area for his

humility, selflessness, competence and involving nature inspire hope in so many youth in the country.

Again, because he was deeply involved in campaigning for  victory in the 2020 general elections .
Hon.Samuel Addai Agyekum, young and energetic District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu
has also  been heaped with a lot of praises  for showing sterling leadership qualities since he was appointed by  the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo as a DCE by a cross section of the Ghana media and some well- meaning Ghanaians.
This  affable DCE according to morning show hosts who always engage him have made it known that he is  both good on  grounds and on air when it comes to the propagation of the good works and programs of the ruling government.
Hon.Addai Agyekum combines government business and Party works which is very difficult to be executed by every politician, but does it perfectly.
He is seen everyday  on radio and TV  defending government policies and explaining government programmes.
When asked about his secret on the above development ,he noted that “It is not easy combining the two but  can’t stop what I love most doing since 2011,thats communicating for my party. Having been an Assembly member, PM and a student of Public Policy give me upper hand also”.He hinted.
Again,’I love my Assembly Members because they are very supportive, calm and open. Even if they disagree with certain executive decisions, we sit and solve them. That’s how it works. All central government projects and Assembly projects are within electoral areas and they get involved and that make them unique. I have enjoyed working with them and will continue to enjoy working with them if my mandate is renewed by the President.
Though we have achieved significant progress in terms of development, we still have a lot to do and we need to cooperate and collaborate to ensure we achieve the best for the people and the District.’He maintained.
“Not that I’m  pampered by chiefs and people in my district but I respect  them and my  open door policies are doing the magic”, the PAN African Heroes Award winner reiterated.
Credit to   the Assembly Members for making me successful.
The  Media, prominent individuals, chiefs and even characters from other side of the political divide have made me who I am today.
According to him,he is  for seeing the President reposing confidence in  the youth of which he is one of them , we  see in the President’s appointments.
He added, the president is  committed to building the Ghanaian youth and insuring our future.
“We have to justify the confidence he, the President reposed in us.
When you have a Regional Minister who is result oriented, you can’t sleep.
He demands results and you have to show him to results in order for him to submit same to the President and the sector Minister.
When the government succeeds, the party succeeds as well, so we need to put our personal interest behind and work for good for our people.
We can break the eight if we respect the Ghanaian who gave us the power and respect our party people. “Let’s love ourselves” and be honest to the people we serve. I’m very positive that we can break the eight. Let’s behave as if we are in opposition and working hard to take power, I think that’s should be our posture.
Currently, the 2021 budget has made clear and I think completing already started projects is good before continuing new ones in our respective District.” He stressed.
Based on his good works,he was extremely happy upon  hearing that, the Paramount Chief and President of Kumawu Traditional Council and the chiefs within the district appealed  to the president for his renomination.
‘We are practicing participatory democracy and getting all stakeholders involve reduce the burden.’ He concluded on Kumasi based Wontumi TV morning show program hosted by Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
