The Ashanti Regional Director for the National Entrepreneur and Innovation Program, Alhaji Obidieaba, has announced that over 2,000 people will benefit from the Adwumawura Programme.
The program aims to reduce youth unemployment in Ghana by providing training, mentorship, and startup support for young entrepreneurs.

Alhaji Obidieaba paying a working visit to the center where successful applicants are receiving their various training today highlighted that the initiative is fully funded and inclusive, with at least 60% of beneficiaries coming from vulnerable groups. These groups include women, people with disabilities, and youth formerly involved in illegal mining. The program’s inclusive nature ensures that those who need the support the most have access to it.
The Project Coordinator at Women’s Haven Africa, Akosua Abua Owusu, stated that participants are undergoing extensive training to help bring out the best of their entrepreneurial skills. The training is designed to equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills and knowledge to start and manage their own businesses.
The Chief Executive Officer for Women’s Haven Africa, Adwoa Fosua, emphasized the importance of training and grooming the youth into the business field. Since their establishment six years ago, Women’s Haven Africa has trained over 2,000 individuals, demonstrating their commitment to empowering the youth and promoting entrepreneurship.
The Adwumawura Programme is a necessary undertaking to address youth unemployment in Ghana.
With its inclusive and fully funded nature, the program has the potential to make a significant impact in the lives of the beneficiaries.
The partnership between the National Entrepreneur and Innovation Project and Women’s Haven Africa is a step in the right direction towards promoting entrepreneurship and economic growth.
