XMass 2022: MEMHREP Feeds The Mentally  ILL

The season of love, cheers and giving is upon us! And the spirit of joy and kindness is in the air.

In light of this year’s Christmas season, MEMHREP, an NGO took upon itself to feed and clothe persons living with physical and mental illness, neglected on the streets in Kumasi, Ghana.

The festive period special Outreach activity took place between 21st and 31st of December 2022.
It featured the distribution of food, drinks and clothes to about 500 persons.

In attendance at the event were the CEO of MEMHREP, Mr. Adu- Gyamfi, staff and media personal from UTV and Joy News.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Adu-Gyamfi said” Christmas is the season of gifting and giving.. the one time of year that people look forward to the most therefore MEMHREP’S desire to put smiles on the faces of the mentally ill and vulnerable persons in society”.

He also said they will be organizing similar events weekly in order to help and promote good mental health.
