MASLOC and RCC Partner to Drive Inclusive Development in Ashanti Region

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, today held a productive meeting with the dedicated staff of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), led by Prince Atta, the Ashanti Regional Manager, and Madam Ophelia Antwi Boasiako, the Zonal Manager.

The discussion centered on MASLOC’s vital role in empowering individuals and small businesses, as well as how the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) can support them in ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the importance of MASLOC’s work in providing essential microloans to underserved communities.

He pledged the RCC’s full backing to facilitate smoother operations and expand MASLOC’s reach to every corner of the region through effective decentralization and continuous capacity building.

The minister stressed the need for staff development and skills training as a cornerstone of improved service delivery. He encouraged the MASLOC team to stay committed to professional excellence and innovation in addressing the financing needs of the region’s growing entrepreneurial base.

The meeting highlighted the importance of decentralizing MASLOC’s services to the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the region. This initiative aims to intensify efforts in poverty reduction, job creation, and economic inclusion, ultimately driving inclusive development across the Ashanti Region.

Dr. Amoakohene expressed appreciation for the leadership of Prince Atta and Madam Ophelia Antwi Boasiako, noting that their dedication and drive are setting the pace for real impact. He emphasized that together, they can unlock new opportunities, empower more citizens, and drive development that touches every district.
