Atwima Nwabiagya North District Health Insurance Manager To Embark on Registration Drive

The District Health Insurance Manager in Atwima Nwabiagya North, Mr Awudu Sumaila, popularly known as Romeo, has launched an initiative to register unregistered citizens under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for free.

The exercise, set to begin on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Worapon , will cover all 17 electoral areas within the district and include free medical screening.

The registration process which is free, aiming to increase health insurance coverage among residents .

Citizens will undergo free medical screening to detect potential health issues early.

The initiative seeks to ensure that all citizens have access to medical care without financial burden.

Mr Awudu Sumaila emphasized that
“When you have strong citizens, production increases, and weak citizens don’t contribute to the development of the nation hence his intention to make the insurance available to all for the betterment and physical well-being of its members.

He said the benefits of the Initiative will help members to ensure early detection and prevention of diseases.

He revealed that,regular check-ups will facilitate early detection and prevention of diseases.

The insurance card he said,will give access to medical care without financial burden and will lead to improved health outcomes.

“A healthier population can contribute more effectively to the nation’s development .” He further inducted.

The initiative is expected to increase health insurance coverage, promote regular health check-ups, and ultimately contribute to the overall well-being of the citizens in Atwima Nwabiagya North.
