Muslims Urged to Uphold Unity and Sacrifice During Eid al-Adha Celebration-Atwima Mponua DCE

The Muslim community in the Atwima Mponua District joined millions of Muslims across the world to commemorate this year’s Eid al-Adha with congregational prayers and celebrations marked by peace, unity and spiritual reflection.

The event, which was led by the Atwima Mponua District Chief Imam, brought together Muslim faithful, traditional authorities, government officials, families and well-wishers to observe the sacred Islamic festival.

Addressing the gathering after the prayers, the District Chief Executive for the area,Ibrahim Issahak reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people and addressing the developmental needs of communities within the district.

He noted that Eid al-Adha serves as an important reminder of the values of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, unity and devotion to Allah, which are central to the Islamic faith.

“On behalf of Government, I assure the people of our unwavering commitment to advancing their welfare, addressing their concerns and continuously working towards improving livelihoods and development across our communities,” he stated.

He further commended the Atwima Mponua District Chief Imam, Muslim leaders and the entire Muslim community for ensuring a peaceful and successful observance of the celebration.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for Muslims to interact with family members, friends and loved ones in an atmosphere of togetherness and gratitude.

The government representative concluded by praying for Allah’s blessings upon the people and the nation, asking for continued peace, unity, prosperity and progress for the district and Ghana as a whole.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic calendar and symbolizes faith, obedience and generosity.
