Ashanti Regional Minister Commends Ejuramanhene For Releasing Land For 24-hour economy market project

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has commended the Ejuramanhene for his immense support and commitment to development following the release of land for the construction of the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market and other major government projects in the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipality.

The Minister gave the commendation during a courtesy call on the traditional ruler as part of his official working visit to the municipality. The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between government and traditional authorities toward accelerated development in the area.

Dr. Amoakohene, who represented President John Dramani Mahama during the engagement, expressed the government’s profound gratitude to the Ejuramanhene for making land available for strategic projects aimed at transforming livelihoods and boosting economic activities within the municipality.

According to the Regional Minister, the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market project is expected to create employment opportunities, improve local commerce, and provide a reliable trading hub for farmers, traders, and small-scale businesses in the municipality and adjoining communities.

He noted that the establishment of the Farmers Service Center and other developmental initiatives would significantly support agricultural productivity and improve access to essential services for farmers and residents.

Dr. Amoakohene further praised the Member of Parliament for Ejura Sekyedumase, Hon. Mohammed Barimah Bawa, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rafiw Adam Seidu, for their dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the municipality.

He emphasized that meaningful development can only be achieved through strong collaboration between traditional leaders, government institutions, and the people, adding that the government remains committed to delivering impactful projects that improve the living conditions of citizens.

The Minister reaffirmed government’s determination to ensure equitable development across the Ashanti Region while strengthening partnerships with traditional authorities to drive sustainable progress and economic transformation.
