The National Service Authority (NSA) has honoured the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokwa, Hon. Amoh Kamel, for his outstanding support and contributions towards the smooth administration and operations of the authority within the municipality and the Ashanti Region at large.
The recognition was conferred on Hon. Kamel during the Ashanti Regional Delegates Conference of the National Service Authority held in Kumasi on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
The conference, which brought together management, staff, delegates and key stakeholders of the authority, was organised to acknowledge the contributions of dedicated employees, institutions and individuals whose interventions have significantly assisted the NSA in overcoming operational and administrative challenges. The event also featured the election of new regional executives.
Presenting the award, the Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Authority, Mr. Emmanuel Reagan Fynn, praised Hon. Amoh Kamel for his unwavering commitment to supporting the activities of the authority whenever the need arose.
According to him, the Asokwa MCE has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and responsiveness by providing the necessary logistical and administrative support that has enabled the municipal office of the NSA to effectively discharge its mandate.
“Hon. Amoh Kamel has always been our first point of contact whenever the Asokwa Municipal Office encounters challenges requiring immediate intervention. His readiness to assist and his commitment to public service have greatly contributed to the success of our operations,” Mr. Fynn stated.
He described the MCE as a solution-oriented leader whose dedication to public administration and youth development had earned him the admiration of both the authority and the wider public.
Mr. Fynn noted that the recognition was not only a reward for past contributions but also a motivation for public officials and institutions to continue supporting state agencies in the collective effort to improve service delivery and national development.
“The plaque of honour is a testament to his hard work and commitment. We believe such recognition will inspire him and many others in public office to continue making meaningful contributions to the growth of our institutions,” he added.
In his response, Hon. Amoh Kamel expressed gratitude to the National Service Authority for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote youth empowerment, national development and effective public administration.
He commended the authority for its role in preparing young graduates for the world of work and helping to build a disciplined and productive workforce for the country.
The event also celebrated several distinguished personalities and organisations whose contributions have strengthened the operations of the National Service Authority across the region.
Among the award recipients were the Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben, Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu; the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi; the Municipal Chief Executive for Oforikrom, Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed; the Member of Parliament for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo, Hon. The honourees were recognised for their collaborative efforts, resource support and commitment to advancing the objectives of the National Service Authority.
The conference underscored the importance of partnerships between public institutions, local government authorities and the private sector in addressing administrative challenges and creating opportunities for the nation’s youth.
Participants expressed optimism that the strengthened collaboration between the NSA and its stakeholders would further enhance the authority’s ability to deliver on its mandate of deploying and managing national service personnel effectively across the region.
