The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti Region,Hon. Abubakar Sadik, has rallied staff of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly behind the Black Stars, demonstrating solidarity and patriotism ahead of Ghana’s FIFA World Cup encounter against Panama.
In a symbolic display of national support, the DCE and staff of the Assembly reported to work dressed in Ghana jerseys, sending a strong message of encouragement to the national team as they prepare for the crucial fixture.
Hon. Sadik described the gesture as a reflection of the unwavering confidence Ghanaians have in the Black Stars and their ability to make the nation proud on the international stage.
According to him, the initiative was intended not only to boost the morale of the players but also to strengthen national unity and patriotism among citizens.
“Today, I proudly joined the dedicated staff of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly as we wore our Ghana jerseys to work in a show of solidarity and unwavering support for our beloved Black Stars,” he stated.
He noted that sports, particularly football, continue to serve as a unifying force for the country, bringing people together regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences.
The DCE emphasized that the Assembly stands firmly behind the national team with prayers, encouragement, and confidence as they seek to secure victory and advance Ghana’s ambitions on the world football stage.
He further urged the players to approach the match with courage, determination, discipline, and the fighting spirit for which Ghanaians are known.
Hon. Sadik assured the Black Stars that the people of Ahafo Ano South West District, together with millions of Ghanaians across the country and abroad, are solidly behind them and believe in their capacity to deliver a positive result.
