The Chief Executive Officer of PIWAK Natural Health, producers of the 3P Garlic Mixture, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, has encouraged men to pay greater attention to their reproductive health by adopting preventive measures against prostate-related conditions and low testosterone levels.
Speaking in an interview with The Punch newspaper over the weekend, Dr Mortoti said regular consumption of garlic-based herbal products, particularly the 3P Garlic Mixture, could contribute to maintaining prostate health while supporting hormonal balance in men.
According to him, prostate enlargement, medically known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), and prostate cancer often develop gradually without obvious symptoms, making early preventive measures and routine medical screening essential.
He explained that garlic is naturally rich in organosulfur compounds, which possess potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These compounds, he said, have been associated with reducing the risk of prostate cancer and easing lower urinary tract symptoms commonly experienced by men suffering from enlarged prostates.
“Many prostate conditions develop silently, and by the time symptoms become obvious, the disease may have advanced. Men should therefore embrace healthy lifestyles and natural foods that support prostate health while also going for regular medical check-ups,” he advised.
Dr Mortoti further highlighted the challenge of low testosterone, also known as hypogonadism, which affects many men and may lead to reduced sexual drive, fatigue, low energy levels, muscle weakness, infertility and poor overall well-being.
He explained that garlic contains bioactive compounds capable of lowering cortisol, the body’s primary stress hormone. Elevated cortisol levels, he noted, can interfere with testosterone production.
“By helping to reduce stress hormones, garlic indirectly supports the body’s natural production of testosterone, which is also important for sperm production and male fertility,” he stated.
The herbal practitioner therefore encouraged men to prioritise preventive healthcare by maintaining healthy eating habits, engaging in regular physical activity, managing stress and considering natural products such as the 3P Garlic Mixture as part of a healthy lifestyle.
He stressed, however, that men experiencing persistent urinary difficulties, pain, blood in urine or semen, erectile dysfunction or other symptoms suggestive of prostate disease should seek prompt medical evaluation.
Dr Mortoti also urged the public to combine the use of herbal preparations with regular medical examinations, saying early diagnosis remains the most effective strategy for preventing complications associated with prostate diseases.
He reaffirmed PIWAK Natural Health’s commitment to promoting public awareness on preventive healthcare through education and the development of herbal products aimed at supporting general health and wellness.
