Gilbert Kenneth Agyei, has presented food items to twenty Muslim constituencies in the Ashanti Region in support of the Ramadan festivity. The donation, which includes 100 bags of sugar, Lipton, 80 bags of rice, and bottles of cooking oil, is a testament to the minister’s commitment to promoting unity and compassion among Ghanaians.
Presenting the food items on behalf of the minister, the Ashanti Regional Director of Operations, Mallam Yaya Mohammed, commended Muslims for peacefully observing Ramadan despite their individual challenges. He emphasized that the donation was to support Muslims who have been involved in fasting, highlighting the importance of showing love and compassion to Muslim neighbors during this holy month.
Chairman Iddrissu Mahyia North Constituency, who received the donation on behalf of the beneficiary communities, expressed gratitude to the minister for the thoughtful gesture. “We’re grateful the minister has remembered us this holy month. For giving this to the Muslim communities signifies a lot to us,” he said.
