A major humanitarian outreach aimed at inspiring hope and supporting inmates at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison will take place this Thursday, bringing together some of Ghana’s biggest football legends, current Black Stars players, musicians, and public figures.

The initiative, organised by the KN Foundation in partnership with the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), with support from the Joana Gyan Foundation, seeks to encourage inmates and demonstrate compassion to people serving various sentences behind bars.

The delegation is expected to depart Accra at exactly 8:00 a.m. for Nsawam as part of what organisers describe as a “mission of hope, humanity, and love.”

Several renowned football personalities are expected to participate in the outreach, including former Black Stars captain Anthony Baffoe, football legend Samuel Osei Kuffour, African football icon Abedi Ayew, former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, as well as current national team stars André Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey and Michael Essien.
The event will also feature notable entertainers, including Dr Cryme and Patapaa, alongside several other musicians and personalities from across the country.
According to the organisers, the outreach is intended to go beyond entertainment and celebrity appearances, focusing instead on restoring hope and reminding inmates that they are not forgotten by society.
They noted that many inmates continue to struggle with loneliness, emotional pain, uncertainty, and difficult living conditions, stressing that some are still awaiting justice while others simply need encouragement and human connection.
Quoting Matthew 25:36 — “I was in prison and you visited me” — the organisers said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to compassion, unity, and second chances for all people regardless of their circumstances.
The organisers further emphasised that the outreach forms part of a broader effort to use sports, music, and public influence to champion humanity and social inclusion.
The event is expected to attract significant public attention as leading figures from Ghana’s football and entertainment industries unite for what organisers describe as a national call to inspire hope and demonstrate love to vulnerable members of society.

The outreach will be held under the themes: “Hope for All,” “Humanity First,” and “One Ghana.”
