Bosomtwe MP applauds Kuntenase Government Hospital For Zero Maternal Death For Past Six Years

The member of parliament for the Bosomtwe constituency in Ashanti region, Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum,has applauded the entire working force of the Kuntenase gov’t hospital for not recording any maternal mortality case for the past six years in his constituency.

The MP, who is also the minister of education, was elated upon hearing such a great and commendable achievement by the hospital staff during the commissioning of a renovated main hospital block and fund raising ceremony at the hospital premises in Kuntenase the district capital.

Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, in his address, congratulated  the hospital management and workers, especially, the obstetrician-gynecologist unit for the great work done so far, and pledged GHS50.000.thousand fund support for onward facelift and upgrade of the hospital beside his commitment to expanding the OBG unit, and also, providing additional six beds to the already existing 12 beds in the hospital facility.
He stated,” the saddest thing in this world is to loose the life of a person who is bringing another life into the world”

The medical  superintendent of the health facility, Dr. Harrison Twumasi Ankrah, who spoke on behalf of the hospital staff also showered praises on the midwives for their selflessness and commitment to ensuring the safety of mothers who engage their services in the Bosomtwe and it’s adjoining districts.
He therefore, calls for support from government and well-wishers to help change the face of Kuntenasi government hospital in terms of pavement, phototerapy machine among other things.
