The Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Richard Asante, says the Member of Parliament for the area, stands the chance to go unopposed if major roads in the Constituency are constructed.

The current state of the roads, he said, is unfortunate therefore the constituents are expecting the roads to be asphalted to give a facelift to the constituency.

Speaking to a section of the media, Mr Asante, said when the roads are constructed by Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who doubles as the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, it will deter other persons who are desirous to contest him in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

According to him, when the roads are constructed, it will be waste of money for someone to contest him since the major problem calling for change, would not be in existence.

The Vice Chairman expressed satisfaction when he joined the Majority Leader and MP for Suame, Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu to inspect the ongoing construction of drains.

The electoral areas visited include Tarkwa-Anomangye, Maakro, and Abusuakurua .

Mr Asante called on the contractor to speed up the work to help end the series of insults on the Majority Leader.
