Deborah Ofori Mensah has officially declared her intention to seek re-election as the Deputy Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, pledging to consolidate the gains made by the women’s wing and strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of future electoral contests.

The young party activist is seeking another term under the campaign theme “Still Maintain,” signalling her desire to continue the work she has started in empowering women, promoting unity and expanding the party’s support base within the constituency.

According to campaign materials released by her team, Deborah Ofori Mensah believes continuity in leadership will enable the women’s wing to build on existing achievements while introducing innovative strategies to increase female participation in party activities.

She has expressed confidence that the experience gained during her first tenure has equipped her with the knowledge and skills required to serve the women of the party more effectively.

Speaking to The Punch Newspaper, she reportedly reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots engagement, promising to work closely with branch executives, polling station officers and women groups to ensure that every member has a voice in the affairs of the party.

She stressed that women remain the backbone of every successful political campaign and must be adequately empowered and motivated to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the NDC.

Deborah Ofori Mensah also pledged to champion programmes aimed at building the capacity of women through leadership training, political education and community outreach initiatives.

She noted that strengthening the women’s front would not only improve internal party organisation but also enhance the NDC’s electoral fortunes in the Ejisu Constituency.

Her campaign has already attracted attention from party supporters, particularly the youth and women, who have described her as hardworking, accessible and committed to the ideals of the NDC.

Supporters believe her continued leadership would help sustain unity within the women’s wing while deepening collaboration among party structures across the constituency.

Political observers say the upcoming constituency elections will be crucial as the NDC prepares to strengthen its internal structures and position itself for future political contests.

If re-elected, Deborah Ofori Mensah says her priority will be to intensify mobilisation efforts, promote inclusiveness and ensure that women remain at the centre of the party’s development agenda.

Her campaign message, “Still Maintain,” underscores her belief that continuity, dedication and collective effort are essential to achieving the party’s objectives in the Ejisu Constituency.

As the campaign gathers momentum, delegates are expected to assess the performance, vision and commitment of all aspirants before casting their votes in the constituency elections.
