Under the leadership of Hon.Alfred Amoah,the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly in the Western North Region and the able Western North regional minister,Hon.Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu,the municipality has been blessed with alot of developmental projects for barely three and half years in president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo led administration.
When The Punch District Focus Team visited the municipality,it was noticed that ,alot of physical developmental projects have been embarked upon,some ongoing others completed.
Speaking to Mr Alfred Amoah(MCE),he affirmed that on the 14th of October 2019,he commissioned an ultra-modern toilet facility for the Bibiani Senior High School.
Again ,the 10-seater toilet facility which was constructed under the one constituency, one million dollar projects policy through the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives has also been constructed.
The MCE noted that the lack of a toilet facility for the school was a serious problem and commended the government for easing the burden of the school.
Mr Amoah said the Bibiani Municipality benefited from a number of projects apart from three toilet facilities at different institutions at the Bibiani Senior Technical School (BISEC),Bibiani College of Heath Sciences and Sefwi Bekwai Senior School (SEBESS) .
He mentioned other projects being executed under the programme to include; a warehouse at Sefwi Bekwai, three mechanised boreholes, market and hospital equipment to Bibiani government hospital.
He also hinted of 200 capacity hostel facility for the only nursing school in the municipality plus ultra modern X-RAY machine alongside science laboratory which are GNPC funded project.
Touching on roads,the affable MCE said the Nana Addo led government has achieved alot and constructing Bibiani town roads,also,21km roads under the cocoa road project has benefited alot of communities under the municipality’s jurisdiction.
He mentioned of Subrikwanta -Etwebo road,Asamaso , among others .
Inspite of the forgoing character,the task of the municipality hasn’t been easy .
The MCE however noted that, they are working around the clock to improve on their IGF .
He hinted that because of the torrential rainfall their feeder roads are very bad and is effecting development in the area .
He was much grateful to the president of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and Hon.Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu, regional minister , Western North for the development and his appointment and pledge to increase the president vote in his municipality.
