EID Feast Ghana Donates Ghs 8,000 Food Items To Muslims

Executives of EID Feast Ghana has donated assorted food items to the vulnerable within the Kumasi Metropolis.

Among the items worth over GHs 8,000 included mini bags of rice, pieces of bootled cooking oil, mini bags of tomato paste, live chicken which numbered over 100, canned meat among others.

The donation was done on Wednesday 12th May 2021 at Aboabo; held coincidentally with the celebration of the end of the Ramadan fast.

 

Beneficiaries numbered close to 80 and were mostly the less privileged Muslim brothers and sisters.

They came from locations including Tafo, Atimatim, Moshi Zongo, Sepe Dote among others.

Present at the occasion was the Deputy Regional Chief Imam for Shungai Mallam Hammer and other religious leaders.

 

After presenting the items, President for the organization Sadat Anwar disclosed in an interview with www.leakynews.net that they saw the need to support the less privileged of the Islamic faith after realising that a high number of Muslims were struggling to make a living.

The organization as he disclosed has since 2016 supported communities and individuals.

In 2016, the leadership started with the renovation of a mosque at South Suntreso and in 2017 supported inmates of Manhyia Prisons with assorted food items during the Ramadan fast.

He noted that their focus for this year was to support widows, the aged, the sick, single parents etc by giving them the food items as they celebrate the end of the sacred fast.

He thanked the Ghanaian community in Israel, China, Kumasi, Accra plus those in other locations who contributed towards the move.
