Yeekay Osei Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization with the motor rescuing the perished has been launched in Enchi, the Aowin Municipal capital in the newly created Western North region.
The foundation whose aim was to support and assist the physically challenged, widows and widowers, needy but brilliant students and provide social amenities such as portable drinking water, school infrastructure, desks and furniture for schools, provide health equipment for hospitals and clinics in the Aowin Municipality.
Delivering a speech to officially unveil the foundation, the President and Patron for Yeekay Osei Foundation who is also the sector Commander for Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) customs division at the Ellubo boarder in the Western region said over the years he was supporting the widows and widowers, the physically challenged , the needy but brilliant students; supporting and providing the communities with iron rods, cement and roofing sheets to enable them complete their self-help projects, drill bore hole for them, provided Enchi government hospital with beds and other hospital equipment ,assisted young ladies who were ready to go into vocation with hand sewing machines, hair driers and has thought it wise to officially establish the Yeekay Osei foundation so that friends and love ones both home and abroad can support him extend the tentacle to many to benefit from.
Mr. E.K Osei who launched the Yeekay Osei Foundation with a seed money of Thirty Thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc30, 000.00) said the trustees of the foundation will ensure they receive application from whoever needs support and see to the sustainability of the foundation.On her part, President for Aseda Foundation Madam Diana Adjei appealed to the good citizens of Aowin both home and abroad, philanthropists and other partners to support the newly borne and unveiled Yeekay Osei Foundation to realize its goals.
Madam Adjei said as they have previously done, Aseda Foundation have collaborated with Mr. E.K Osei to procure 5 hair driers,10 hand sewing machines,10 washing stands and 30 wall clocks to distribute to some selected tailors, dress makers and hair dressers.The constituency chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party for Aowin , Mr. Samuel Ebbah Boadi lauded the President and Patron of Yeekay Osei Foundation for his love and benevolent work more especially for the widows and widowers, brilliant but needy students, physically challenged and provision of social amenities for communities in the Aowin Municipality over the decades.
Nana Ebbah Kajo II, the chief of Abuchia was grateful to the Almighty God for giving Mr. E.K Osei that laudable idea for establishing the Yeekay Osei Foundation.
