The newly installed Queen mother of Kumpese,a farming community in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti region has said that ,fighting against teenage pregnancy in her area is his topmost priority.
According to Nana Abena Konto Ababio, the rate at which teenage pregnancy is increasing in the area is very alarming and is about time she needs to find a lasting Solution to it .
Nana Konto said, it is her will to fight against this canker so that the upcoming females will grow to their expectations because they , according to her hold the future of this Nation.
Nana Abena Konto Ababio who was speaking after she was installed as the queen mother of Kumpese also indicated that ,girl child education will also be added to her vision plan as a queen mother of the land.
According to her ,she will ensure that,every female at school going age will have access to quality education in the area and make.sure no female child sits at home without any tangible reason.
She further called on all parents to take proper care of their children, especially their right to education.
She however called for peace on the part of all residents in Amansie and its environs because it is only when they have peace that is when the area will benefit from development.
She was of the view that , without peace the would never be development.
Speaking to some residents in the area,they all preached for unity and tranquility towards development for the coming years.
To them, the installation of the queen mother is a victory for all and prayed for togetherness as one people without a common destiny in the area.
