Three loyal customers of MTN Ghana have driven home brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados after emerging as winners in the telecommunications company’s MTN@30 reward promotion.
The beneficiaries — Faustina Asante, Mahama Wasila and Alidu Tanko — received the keys to their vehicles at a colourful prize presentation held at the Kejetia in Kumasi on September 16, 2026.
The presentation formed part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary celebrations and brought the company’s biggest prizes under the ongoing MTN@30 promotion to the Ashanti Regional capital.
The three winners, who are respectively a businesswoman, farmer and engineer, reportedly qualified for the prizes through their normal use of MTN services, including voice calls, data purchases and Mobile Money transactions.

Unlike some promotions that require participants to register separately, MTN said customers did not need to undertake any additional registration or use a special short code to participate.
Instead, points were automatically accumulated from customers’ everyday activities on the MTN network, with each point providing an opportunity to win a prize.
SURPRISE PRIZES
For the winners, the presentation marked a remarkable transformation of ordinary telecommunications activities into life-changing rewards.
Mahama Wasila, a farmer from the Northern Region, said she never expected that her routine purchase of airtime and data, coupled with her mobile money transactions, could eventually put her behind the wheel of a brand-new Prado.
“I never imagined that I could win something like this, but by God’s grace, I have won this,” she said.
Mrs Faustina Asante also expressed excitement and gratitude after receiving her prize.
According to her, she first came across information about the MTN@30 promotion on TikTok and subsequently continued using MTN services, particularly for her business transactions.
She disclosed that she conducted most of her business transactions through MTN Mobile Money and also purchased significant amounts of data bundles for herself and her loved ones.
She encouraged other MTN customers to participate in future promotions and remain hopeful about the opportunities available to loyal customers.
30,000 CUSTOMERS
Speaking at the presentation, Sandra Oduro Antwi, Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, said the promotion was the company’s way of expressing appreciation to customers who had supported the brand throughout its 30-year journey.
She noted that the anniversary celebration was not only about MTN but also about the millions of Ghanaians who had made the company part of their everyday lives.
“This milestone belongs not to MTN alone, but to the more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made MTN part of their lives,” she said.
According to her, the MTN@30 promotion is expected to reward up to 30,000 customers during its three-month run.
The prizes range from cash rewards of up to GH¢30,000 to brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados.
In all, nine Prados will be given away, with three vehicles being presented at each of three separate prize presentation events.
The first presentation was held in Accra, while the Kumasi event at Kejetia constituted the second presentation.
The final prize presentation is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
TRANSPARENT PROCESS
Samuel Arthur, Senior Specialist, Mass Segment at MTN Ghana, described the MTN@30 promotion as a gesture of gratitude to Ghanaians for the support they had given the telecommunications company since it commenced operations in Ghana.
He explained that the process through which winners emerge was independently reviewed and verified by auditing firm KPMG.
According to him, KPMG reviews the promotion data at various stages to ensure transparency, fairness and integrity in the selection of winners.
The arrangement, he said, was intended to provide customers with confidence that the rewards were based on a transparent process.
30 YEARS OF PROGRESS
The MTN@30 promotion forms part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary under the theme, “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You.”
The theme recognises the contribution of customers, employees, partners and other stakeholders to the company’s development over the past three decades.
MTN Ghana, operated by Scancom PLC, is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and describes itself as a leading player in Ghana’s mobile telecommunications industry.
The company offers a range of telecommunications and digital services, including voice, data, Mobile Money and other digital solutions.
The latest rewards, according to the company, are intended to further demonstrate appreciation to customers whose everyday use of MTN services has contributed to the brand’s 30-year journey.
For the three Kumasi winners, however, the anniversary celebration became much more personal — turning routine calls, data purchases and mobile money transactions into the keys to three brand-new Prados.
