Grassroots mobilization is a key to winning 2024 Elections- Akamba to NDC

A former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon.Joshua Hamidu Akamba has urged the members of the umbrella fraternity to embark on a massive grassroot mobilisation campaign to get more people to join the train as the party prepares to annex power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024 general Elections.

According to him, the surest way to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC in the 2024 polls was to get down to the grassroots at the nook and cranny of the country.

Mr Akamba who was refered to as grassroot Captain, disclosed that the 2024 elections was a crucial encounter for the NPP and NDC, which required that the party adopt a political marketing strategy termed “political evangelism” in order to attract voting voters and retain the old members.

He stressed that, the rank and file of the party ought to join hands with John Mahama and NDC in doing everything to strengthen and energize the machinery at the grassroots base to enable the party reorgnize to wrestle power from the inept NPP government.

Mr Akamba addressing NDC folks in the la constituency last week as part of his reorganization efforts to win the election, admonished party executives to visit market places, stores, landlords and even girlfriends to interact with them thereby selling the 24hr economy policy of John Mahama and the NDC.

” I entreat all members of the party to get down to the people to extend of even writing names of those who wanted to join the NDC,take their contacts and call to check up on them everyday thus this is really part of the grassroots mobilization and coordination with constituents” He stressed.

“I want to use this occasion to tell you that energising the base of the party is key and fundamental to the victory of the NDC in the 2024 elections,” he added

Mr Akamba reiterated that elections are won at the various polling stations and research had proven beyond all reasonable doubt that with vigilance and hard work NDC will win 2024 elections convincingly.

“This Time we should not approach the 2024 election with fragile and a weak foundation”

He urged party members to embark on political evangelism to sensitise the members of the party, motivate them and encourage them to go out there and win the souls of the new voters and convince potential voters to vote for NDC in the 2024 elections.

Mr Akamba therefore, entreated the branch members to work assiduously to win the more parliamentary seats for the NDC in all constituencies because it would open up a lot of job opportunities for the youth when the party wins power come 2024.
