The grateful Hearts Disabilities Association has declared their support for the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo four more years to do more campaign to ensure a resounding victory for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) come Monday 7th December elections.
Mr. Clifford Owusu Ansah president of the Association at the innnaugral ceremony explained that, the decision to rally behind the NPP government to be given four years, is to appreciate the good works and policies by the government towards the disabled in the society.
According to him, through the government interventions most of the members have been assisted to venture into their own businesses like Shoe making, Hairdressing, while others acquire fufu pounding machines and fridges for water and other businesses.
He disclosed that through the government support and assistance, Ambassador Edward Boateng, Ghana’s ambassador to China has presented the members 3o wheel Chairs, 20 walking sticks, clutches and other logistics to ensure their easy movement.
He commended the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, the Chief of Staff, Ashanti Regional Minister and the Mayor of Kumasi for their loyalty and commitment in addressing their basic needs in keeping them going through their daily activities.
Mr. Osei Asibey Antwi, Mayor of Kumasi who innnaugrated the Association commended them for expressing gratitude to the President of the Republic and the NPP government for having them at hearts in addressing their concern to enable them move from the streets begging to make earns meet.
He entreated them to vote for NPP government in which they are being benefitted not not NDC which would win political power and destroy the good policies of previous government.
Says voting against a visionary leader like Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo is vote against their progress and improved living standards, and for that matter, should not make a mistake to vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He disclosed that, the next NPP government will ensure that there is no person living with disabilities are on the roadside begging but rather would be a thing of the past, as the NPP government is determined to ensure that through their share of the District Common Fund, absorb members through assistance to get a decent job of their choice.
