I will serve and not be Lord over others-Newly elected Prestea/Huni-Valley MCE



The newly elected Municipal Chief Executive for Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly Dr. Isaac Dasmani has assured that he will serve and not be Lord over others.

He said this during his confirmation and swearing-in ceremony held at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

Out of the 45 votes cast, Dr. Dasmani pull 39 votes.
In his acceptance speech he commanded his predecessor Mr. Mozart Kwaku Owuh for the solid foundation he has laid for him to build upon.

He also thanked the president, Regional Minister, assembly members and all who rallied behind him for such elevation.
He assured that he will be a team player and also open his doors to all for new ideas which will help improve the living standard of the citizenry. Dr. Dasmani promised to be humble and accept constructive criticism and to protect the image of the Assembly.
On her part, the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency Member of Parliament Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyesi applauded the previous MCE Mr. Mozart Kwaku Owuh for the good fight he fought. She believed it was out of his hard work that he fell sick.she wished him speedy recovery so that he can take up new position.
She cautioned the new MCE the the work with in the district are many and difficult as there are over 200 towns and these towns are scattered with bad roads too. He pleaded with him to ensure that the district get it share from the national cake. She promised to rally behind him to give him her maximum support. She also pleaded with him to put up measures to fight covid 19 in the Municipality to ensure that the citizenry survive the pandemic.
The Regional Minister said the district is rich and sits on gold hence it can not import gold. He urged the MCE to work hard with his economics background should work hard to ensure that the Municipality becomes the next new York of Ghana.
Finally the Chief of Bogoso Kokoase Nana Suampreh II who spoke on behalf of the Chiefs in the area urged Hon. Dasmani to continue the good work of his pre-desesor. He encouraged the Assembly members to give him their maximum support.

He assured that the Chief in the area are willing to provide him with all supports needed.
