Planned and well organized press conference by Kejetia traders association, eleven member steering committee of central market and concerned central market petty traders association nearly came to an end when the leadership of the three wanted to address the media in English Language.
The aggressive traders disrupted the entire meeting for about ten minutes when one Andy Kofie, Secretary of Petty traders association attempted to speak English Language to address their concerns.
‘Yente br)fo….’We don’t understand English and we will never allow you to speak English here”, they chanted.
The leaders later understood their members and then addressed the Media by using the local dialect, which is the ‘Asante twi’.
It was all joy and cheerful moment when the ‘Twi’ dialect was used throughout the meeting.
