A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kingsley Bonsu-Kyeretwie Esq., has highlighted his long-standing service and commitment to the party as he positions himself for greater responsibilities within its leadership.

The legal practitioner, who has served the NPP in various capacities for nearly two decades, says his political journey reflects unwavering loyalty, grassroots activism and dedicated service aimed at strengthening the party.

Mr. Bonsu-Kyeretwie’s involvement with the NPP began during his days at the University of Ghana, where he was an active member of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) from 2007 to 2011. His participation in TESCON laid the foundation for what has become an extensive political career within the party.

His first frontline electoral assignment came during the 2008 General Election, when he served as a Polling Agent at the Presby Polling Station in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, helping to protect the party’s electoral fortunes.

He later served as Polling Station Secretary for the Fredimens Polling Station in the Manhyia South Constituency from 2012 to 2018, where he played a key role in grassroots mobilisation and organisational activities.

Recognising his dedication and communication skills, the party appointed him Constituency Communications Officer for Manhyia South from 2018 to 2022. In that position, he championed the party’s messaging and public engagement efforts within the constituency.

Following his impressive performance, party delegates elected him Second Vice Chairman of the Manhyia South Constituency in 2022, a position he continues to occupy.

Beyond constituency politics, Mr. Bonsu-Kyeretwie has also taken up several strategic assignments at the regional level. He currently serves as TESCON Patron for the Ashanti Region, where he mentors and supports young party activists across tertiary institutions.

He is also the Patron of Crusaders for NPP, a role he has held since 2024, providing guidance to party volunteers and campaign structures.

Additionally, he serves as Secretary of the Ashanti Regional Association of First and Second Vice Chairpersons, a position he has occupied since 2024, helping to coordinate activities among constituency executives across the region.

Political observers believe his broad experience from student activism and polling station work to constituency leadership and regional organisational responsibilities places him among the experienced grassroots politicians seeking to contribute to the rebuilding and strengthening of the NPP.
