Hon Dr.Mary Awusi, National Campaign Team Member of the NDC has appealed to members of the National Democratic Congress to get themselves involved in the ongoing limited registration exercise which starts today, 1st August, 2024.

The Electoral Commission has begun mopping up voter registration from August 1 to August 3, 2024.

The Deputy Chairperson in- Charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey, has said the mop-up exercise is to offer persons who turned 18 years old after the recent limited voter registration and those who could not register previously the opportunity to have their names captured in the poll book.

The Commission will also embark on a voter exhibition exercise in August 2024.

Mr. Tettey emphasised the inclusivity of the exercise, noting that registration will be conducted online across 268 District Offices, 26 Public Universities, and 41 Prison Centers nationwide from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.

He reiterated the requirements for registration, including presenting a Ghana Card or passport, or having two guarantors who are already registered voters. He also highlighted the Commission’s next major activity: the exhibition of the Voters Register from August 20 to August 27.

“All registered voters are encouraged to visit their polling stations or use the short code to electronically check their names in the register,” Mr. Tettey added.

The foregoing character has compelled Hon Dr Mary Awudzi to remind all NDC members to take the ongoing exercise very serious so that everyone could vote in election 2024 to ensure the victory of the NDC.

She called on parents to ensure that their wards who have turned eighteen years are registered so that they could exercise their franchise on the election day.
