Justin Frimpong Kodua Esq, General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned government appointees to up their game, adding that underperforming ones would soon be reshuffled.
He noted that the party had started an evaluation and assessment of all appointees, hinting he would soon put the names of those who were underperforming for a possible reshuffle by the President.
Addressing the three days Ashanti Regional students wing popularly termed as TESCON conference last Saturday, the General Secretary said the party cannot take any slackened performance from any appointee anymore.
“The NPP is not going to give up the mantle of government now and so all our efforts should be aimed at working to retain it in power and soon all underperforming ministers including MMDCEs would be pencilled for a reshuffle by the President”, the Secretary firmly stated.
The General Secretary also hinted of plans by the NPP to start a school specially tailored to train and groom its members in the philosophy and ideals on which the party was founded.
The school, he noted would then begin the training of its members across the country and sharpen their skills for party work.
Lawyer Kodua commended TESCON members including its founders and patrons across the country for their continued sacrifices and commitment to growing the intellectual wing of the party.
The General Secretary offered an apology for the party’s inability to allow TESCON members to vote in the last regional and national conference of the party and promised to ensure that the mishap never happens again.
