NAPO visits fire victims at French line,donates roofing sheets , cement



Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti Region has visited fire victims at Kumasi Central Market (French line) , donates 20 packets of roofing sheets and 100 bags of cement for temporal structure.


Napo, affectionately called announced the package in an interview with journalists in Kumasi today.

He described the fire victims as true citizens who are major stakeholders in Nation Building.

According to the Energy Minister, the leadership of the traders has briefed him on major problems facing the market.

He stressed that all concerns shared with him will be put before the appropriate authorities to have the issues resolved.

The French line of Kumasi Central Market somewhere last Sunday caught fire, resulting in the destruction of some stores and properties worth thousands of cedis.

Hon Matthew Opoku Prempeh however advised traders to create space in the market for emergency response.

He then entreated traders to find proper ways of acquiring metres from appropriate quarters, advising them to desist from illegal connections which he said can contribute to fire outbreak.
