Prez.Akuffo Addo commended for the support to make Exim Bank become Export-led Economy

Board Member of Exim Bank has commend the  President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo  for his support that has make Exim Bank to  become an export-led economy.
According him, the Exim Bank is among others expected to support local producers with the necessary financial and technical expertise to position them to compete favourably with foreign companies.
Speaking to the media, he stated that, Ghana Export-Import Bank was set up by an Act of Parliament. Act 911, 2016 to: Support and develop directly or indirectly trade between Ghana and other countries and to build Ghana’s capacity and competitiveness in the international market place.
He indicated, the focus of the bank is to geared towards assisting Small and Medium Businesses to expand their production levels to meet both local and foreign demand to specifically focus on the non-traditional export products such as poultry, cassava, cashew, oil palm and pharmaceuticals which have the potential to facilitate our export trade and enhance socio-economic development.
He stated that, the government attain its targets under the top priority areas such as the One District One Factory policy as well as the Planting For Food and Jobs programme.
Mr Abrebese moreover asked Ghanaians to retain the government in power to continue with the many developments and social intervention programmes.
He said the December 7 election would be a choice between the era of untold hardships under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the few years of social interventions programmes by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said under the NDC, Ghanaians encountered five years of power outages, youth unemployment, non-functioning ambulance service, arbitrary increase in utility and the absence of Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs).
Mr Abebreseh at the beginning of  his five day’s working visit to the Ashanti Region,  appealed to Ghanaians to give President Akufo-Addo the chance to change the fortunes of the country.
He disclosed that, the NPP Government pursued a vigorous agenda to bring relief to the people of Ghana such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, One District, One Factory (1D1F), restoration of teacher and nurses trainee allowances, Planting For Food and Jobs, cocoa interventions and producer price increment, among others.
Mr abrebese said the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic had gained global recognition and commendation with the free provision of water and electricity, COVID-19 alleviation fund to business owners, tax rebates and free meals to the populace during the lockdowns and students, and for that matter, the need to give four more years to Nana Addo and the NPP government to do more.
