Residents of Oforiwaa Nkwanta in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region were engaged by the Regional office of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission in consumer Education.
The Commission used the opportunity to enlighten consumers or the Establishment of the PURC and its mandate, the Nature of Complaints that can be lodged with the Commission, The Legislative Instrument LI 2413, and other Energy and water conservation tips.
The Regional Office of the PURC also mounted a complaints desk to receive consumer complaints against the various Utility companies and assured them of the Commission’s Commitment to resolving all complaints lodged.
Some Contact leaflets of the Regional Office of the PURC were also distributed among community members to be able to reach out to the Commission in times of need regarding challenges with the usage of Electricity and Water.
