It has come to our attention that over 24 hours since the Court granted ACP Agodzo bail and met his bail conditions, the ACP still remains in Police custody.
It appears this is becoming a regrettable trend in the behaviour of the Police, Last year a Court granted Mr.Gregory Afoko bail and till date he is still being held by the Police despite meeting all bail conditions.
This wanton disregard for the Court and our Constitution must stop and it must stop today.
We are sending a clear warning to the Police, if they are NOT afraid to break the law, we the Citizens would also NOT be afraid to put the laws in our hands as well.
We are cautioning them to respect the ruling of the Court and release ACP Agodzo or we will raid the Police Station and get him out ourselves.
We are giving the Police just 12 hours, if ACP Agodzo is not released, they would have the people of Ghana to contend with.
We shall NOT allow anyone turn the Constitution of this Country upside down, in furtherance of Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution, which states that *it is the duty of every Ghanaian to defend the 1992 Constitution* and we are willing and ready to defend the Constitution of this Nation today in furtherance of the motto of this Nation “Freedom and Justice”
