The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central in the Western Region , Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has extended warm birthday wishes to the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), , describing him as a father figure, mentor, and pillar of support in her political journey.
In a heartfelt message copied to Punch Newspaper, Hon. expressed profound gratitude to the NDC chief scribe for his unwavering guidance, encouragement, and kindness over the years.
“I just want to thank God for your life and for the blessing that you are to so many people, especially to me,” she stated.
According to the Amenfi Central legislator, Fiifi Kwetey has played an instrumental role in her growth both personally and politically, adding that his wisdom and belief in her abilities have inspired her to persevere through difficult moments.
“You have been more than a mentor to me; you have been a true father figure. I am deeply grateful for every lesson, every piece of advice, every opportunity, and every act of kindness you have shown me,” she noted.
Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe further prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon the NDC General Secretary, wishing him good health, long life, peace, happiness, and greater success in his leadership role.
“May God continue to protect you, guide your steps, and lift you to even greater heights. May your heart always be filled with joy, and may all the love and kindness you have shown others return to you a hundredfold,” portions of the message read.
She concluded by reaffirming her admiration and appreciation for Fiifi Kwetey, describing him as her “godfather, mentor, and father.”
Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, born on June 2, 1967, in Nogokpo in Ghana’s Volta Region, currently serves as the General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, a position he has held since December 2022.
Over the years, he has occupied several key positions in government and the party, including Member of Parliament for Ketu South from 2013 to 2021, Minister for Transport, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Deputy Minister of Finance, Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of Financial and Allied Institutions, and former National Propaganda Secretary of the NDC.
