Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE Receives Prestigious Sustainable Development Award

The World Diplomatic Federation (WODIF), in collaboration with Rectitude International Mission (RIM),an international organization has conferred the distinguished “Legacy of Service & Beacon of Sustainable Development Honor” on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah.

The recognition, according to the awarding institutions, followed what was described as careful institutional assessment, leadership observation, and evaluation of public service delivery, aimed at identifying individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced sustainable community development and responsible governance.

The honor was described as both symbolic and substantive, intended to acknowledge what organizers referred to as impactful leadership, administrative discipline, and a sustained commitment to improving local governance outcomes within the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality.

In a detailed citation read by His Holistic Imperious Eminence Isaac Rockson, Superintendent General, WODIF and RIM, he noted that ,Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah has demonstrated commendable leadership as a public servant and municipal administrator, characterized by people-centered governance, administrative humility, and a strong developmental orientation.

The MCE was further recognized for consistently exhibiting qualities including accountability, accessibility, diplomacy, compassion, and discipline in his engagement with stakeholders and residents within the municipality.

According to His Holistic Imperious Eminence Isaac, the essence of the award is rooted in his contributions toward strengthening local governance systems, promoting social harmony, enhancing youth participation, and fostering development-oriented partnerships within the municipality.

It was further highlighted that his administration has supported key areas such as sanitation and environmental management, youth empowerment initiatives, apprenticeship and skills development programmes, as well as inclusive governance practices aimed at increasing community participation in decision-making processes.

WODIF and RIM also emphasized that Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah has maintained a cordial working relationship with traditional authorities, community stakeholders, and residents, which has contributed to what they described as peaceful and cooperative local governance.

The organizations further stated that leadership is not only defined by official position but also by the positive impact and legacy left within society, noting that the MCE’s service reflects what they termed as responsible public administration and servant leadership.

The conferment was also described as an encouragement to young people in public service and governance, particularly those aspiring to leadership roles. According to the organizers, the recognition is intended to serve as a source of inspiration for emerging leaders to uphold values such as integrity, humility, accountability, discipline, and commitment to public service.
