Adjirigano in Accra became the focal point of Ghana’s healthcare advancement yesterday as the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, officiated the grand opening of the new EURACARE Multi-Specialist Hospital as Guest of Honour.

The landmark event attracted government officials, healthcare professionals, private sector leaders, development partners and members of the public, all gathered to witness what has been described as a major milestone in Ghana’s quest for world-class healthcare delivery.

In his keynote address, Hon. Julius Debrah emphasized the importance of strengthening Ghana’s healthcare infrastructure through strategic collaboration between government and the private sector. According to him, access to quality healthcare must not remain the preserve of a privileged few, but should become a guaranteed right for every Ghanaian citizen.

He noted that investments in modern healthcare facilities represent investments in the nation’s future, productivity and human dignity.

“A healthy nation is a strong nation,” Hon. Debrah stated. “The true measure of leadership lies in the systems and institutions we build to improve the lives of our people.”

The Chief of Staff commended EURACARE for its bold commitment to healthcare excellence and for contributing to Ghana’s growing medical capacity through advanced technology, specialist services and professional expertise.
The newly inaugurated EURACARE Multi-Specialist Hospital is expected to provide comprehensive healthcare services across several specialist areas while reducing the need for Ghanaians to travel abroad for advanced medical treatment. The facility is also projected to create employment opportunities, support medical training and contribute significantly to the overall development of the health sector.
Health stakeholders present at the event described the hospital as a symbol of hope and innovation capable of redefining healthcare standards in Ghana and the West African sub-region.
Observers say the establishment of the facility further demonstrates the increasing confidence of private investors in Ghana’s healthcare industry and aligns with government efforts aimed at improving access to quality medical care nationwide.
The opening ceremony ended with a formal ribbon-cutting led by Hon. Julius Debrah, followed by a guided tour of the state-of-the-art facility.
For many residents and attendees, the event was not merely the unveiling of a hospital, but the beginning of a renewed vision for healthcare delivery in Ghana — one built on partnership, expertise, innovation and hope.
