The Founder and Leader of New Jerusalem Chapel Bishop ,Dr John Yaw Adu has emphatically explained that, community mining is a key to resolve related security operandis emanating among the youth and the police service in the country.

According to him what seems to be difficult to seek lasting solution to illegal mining (galamsey) is the community mining which is simply the government has to provide standard tools, equipment and machineries to meet standard of modern mining activities to the extent of not destroying water bodies to help make the youth earn living.
Addressing the 31st Congregational Watch Night Church Service at Sokoban Ampeyoo near Kumasi in Ashanti Region, Bishop Yaw Adu believed the little approach government instituted in introduction community mining in some districts is yielding good results compelling the youth and security services co-operating to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in those districts.

He said the important case is the protection of the natural reserves including water bodies, reclaiming of lands after mining activity for future prosperity and mining at heart in this country.

He observed that life would become easier for the youth if their interest is develop in proper mining and it can be achieve through nutritional measures carried up by the government.
Commenting on the introduction of community mining aimed at formulating illegal SSM (galamsey) in selected community across the country, the Bishop therefore suggested to the government to use comprehensive approach discourage the youth interest in illegal mining as well as to properly regulated mining activities in the mining industry.
