The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIWAK Natural Health, producers of 3P Garlic Mixture, Dr Prince Nelson Mortoti, has urged Ghanaians to make healthy living a priority by eating well, exercising regularly and undergoing routine health checks.

He said preventive healthcare should become an integral part of everyday life, stressing that people should not wait until they develop serious symptoms before paying attention to their health.

According to Dr Mortoti, a healthy lifestyle goes beyond the use of medicines or health products and requires a combination of proper nutrition, physical activity, adequate rest, regular medical screening and responsible health decisions.

He made the call as concerns over lifestyle-related health conditions continue to encourage greater public education on disease prevention and healthy living.

Healthy diet essential

Dr Mortoti encouraged the public to pay greater attention to what they eat, particularly by incorporating more nutritious foods into their daily meals and limiting excessive consumption of salt, sugar and unhealthy fats.

He said a balanced diet could help support the body’s normal functions and contribute to overall wellbeing.

He advised individuals to consume more fruits and vegetables, whole grains and other nutritious foods while maintaining moderation in their consumption of processed and highly sugary foods.

“Good health starts with what we put into our bodies. We must develop the discipline to make healthier food choices every day,” he said.

Exercise regularly

Dr Mortoti also stressed the importance of regular physical activity, saying exercise should not only be considered for people who want to lose weight.

He explained that regular physical activity could support cardiovascular fitness, help people maintain a healthy weight and contribute to general physical and mental wellbeing.

He, therefore, encouraged individuals to choose forms of physical activity suitable for their age and circumstances, including walking, jogging and other moderate exercises.

He said people who had been inactive for long periods should begin gradually and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.

Know your health status

The PIWAK CEO further urged Ghanaians to undergo regular health checks instead of waiting for symptoms before visiting health facilities.

He said knowing one’s blood pressure, blood sugar and other relevant health indicators could help individuals identify potential problems early and seek professional attention.

“Sometimes, people may feel perfectly well while an underlying health problem is developing. Regular checks give us the opportunity to know what is happening in our bodies and take action early,” he said.

He particularly encouraged adults to take routine screening seriously and to seek medical attention whenever they experienced persistent or unusual symptoms.

Garlic and healthy living

Dr Mortoti also spoke about the place of garlic and other natural foods in a healthy lifestyle.

He said garlic had long been used as part of diets and traditional health practices and encouraged consumers to make informed decisions when using garlic-based products.

He, however, emphasised that natural health products should be used responsibly and should not be presented as substitutes for diagnosis or treatment by qualified healthcare professionals.

He said 3P Garlic Mixture, produced by PIWAK Natural Health, was intended to form part of a broader approach to wellness and should be used responsibly.

He further advised people taking prescribed medicines or managing existing health conditions to consult qualified healthcare professionals before adding supplements or herbal products to their routine.

Avoid self-medication

Dr Mortoti cautioned the public against relying solely on information obtained from social media to diagnose or treat health conditions.

He said symptoms that appeared minor could sometimes be associated with conditions requiring professional assessment.

He therefore encouraged individuals to visit recognised health facilities and speak with qualified health professionals whenever they had concerns about their health.

He also urged consumers to read product information carefully and follow appropriate directions when using health products.

Prevention is everybody’s responsibility

Dr Mortoti said maintaining good health should be regarded as a shared responsibility involving individuals, families and communities.

He encouraged parents and guardians to introduce healthy eating and physical activity into family routines so that children could develop healthy habits from an early age.

He also called for increased public education on preventive healthcare, saying greater awareness could encourage people to take action before health problems become more complicated.

“Prevention begins with our everyday choices. Eat well, stay active, know your health status and seek professional help when necessary,” he said.

Dr Mortoti reiterated that no single food, supplement or health product could replace a balanced lifestyle and appropriate medical care.

He urged Ghanaians to make conscious efforts to protect their health and wellbeing, stressing that early attention, healthy habits and regular medical checks remain important components of responsible healthcare.

PIWAK Natural Health, producers of 3P Garlic Mixture, continues to advocate greater public awareness of healthy living and responsible approaches to personal wellbeing.
